This policy explains what personal information Blevins Guitar Co. collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and buying a guitar from us.

The short version: we collect only what you give us, use it to tell you about guitars and to sell you one, and never sell or share it for advertising.

Who we are

Blevins Guitar Co. is run by Roger Blevins Jr., a sole proprietor based in Texas, USA, as part of Blevins Guitar & Tone Co. For anything about your personal information, email info@blevinsguitarcompany.com.

The First to know list

When you join the list, we collect your email address, your first name if you give it, and your consent to hear from us. Your details are stored as a contact in our Wix account, and we use Wix to send the emails.

We email you when a new guitar is ready, usually one email per guitar. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to take you off the list at any time.

Contacting us and buying a guitar

If you email or message us, we keep that conversation so we can help you. Our email runs on Apple iCloud Mail; Instagram and Facebook messages are kept by Meta.

When you buy a guitar, we keep what we need to complete the sale and our records: your name, how to reach you, what you bought and for how much, and a shipping address if we ship to you. If you buy through a marketplace such as Reverb, that marketplace's own privacy policy also applies to your purchase. We never store full card numbers.

This website

This site is hosted by Wix.com. Like any web host, Wix keeps standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when. Wix's site script may set cookies or store a small identifier in your browser for security, the signup form and basic visit statistics. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers.

Videos are played from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. On the Past builds page, nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When a video plays, Google's privacy policy applies. Links to Instagram and Facebook take you to those sites, where Meta's policy applies.

We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or retargeting.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the business for us: Wix (website, contacts and list emails), Apple (email), Google (fonts and videos) and, if you buy through one, a marketplace like Reverb. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public. We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

You stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Sales records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Messages are kept as long as they're useful for helping you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we have about you and give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email info@blevinsguitarcompany.com. We'll reply within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking.

If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you can also object to or restrict our use of your information and receive it in a portable format. We rely on your consent (the list, which you can withdraw at any time), on performing our sale to you, and on legal obligations (tax records). You can complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in California, Texas or another US state with a privacy law, you have the rights above. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
